Personal Statement

It is an honor and privilege to be a transplant hepatologist at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ.

Three of my grandparents passed away early from liver-related complications, and although it was a different time with limited medical knowledge, the deciding factor for all three was that the diagnosis came too late. Presently, between cirrhosis (end-stage liver disease), liver cancer, and viral hepatitis, liver disease accounts for about 2 million deaths per year worldwide, with the former two potentially cured with a liver transplant.

My goal for you and the community is to help screen for and diagnose liver disease early, and to expeditiously deliver world-class medical care, whether it be via imaging, medications, or surgery. I promise to treat you as a loved one and be with you every step of the way.
